Our commitments to a sustainable product
DEELYA is designed to last. This page brings together our material, design and manufacturing choices—those that make this longevity possible, and those that still need to be improved.
To remember
• Internal support chosen for its flexibility and durability
• Removable, washable, and replaceable textile part
• Fabrics selected for their resistance to friction, light, and repeated cleaning
• Three mottled colors certified OEKO-TEX, one velvet made of 50% recycled polyester
• 100% recyclable material support, with no organized recovery channel to date
– The duration depends on the material
The base retains its flexibility and responsiveness year after year. The textile part can be removed for washing, or to switch to another color. When a part ages, it changes—not the entire object.
The PVC chosen for the base holds up without deteriorating over time. The fabrics selected are those that resist friction, light, and repeated cleaning.
These material choices help the object stay in place rather than being replaced.
– Fabrics, without hierarchy
Four colours have been selected: three heathered fabrics certified OEKO-TEX (Seren, Bora, Terra) and one velvet made from 50% recycled polyester (Lume).
Two different philosophies coexist: chemical harmlessness on one hand, material efficiency on the other. They are not hierarchical. Each fabric meets its own specific criteria, and each colour has been chosen for what it brings to the user experience.
The common thread remains the same: a material that is sufficiently stable, pleasant, and durable to withstand daily use.
– What is guaranteed
The mottled fabrics—Seren, Bora, Terra—are OEKO-TEX certified, an international standard that regulates the presence of harmful substances in the textiles concerned.
The PVC of the backing contains no phthalates, BPA, lead, or latex.
These guarantees apply to the materials and components concerned. They are issued by the manufacturers of these materials.
– What we don't claim to do
These choices have their limits.
DEELYA is produced in limited quantities: only one product, in restricted series. This can drive up the price or slow down restocking—the flip side of control.
The stand is 100% material-recyclable. No collection system is currently organized: end-of-life still needs to be structured.
However, regarding the end-of-life of its packaging and shipping cartons, DEELYA fulfills its Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) by actively contributing to sorting and recycling systems through its membership with CITEO.
Some accessories are not yet part of the European short supply chain. The inflation pump, manufactured in Asia, is one of them. It is delivered with the product; its relocation remains an open topic.
These commitments are reflected in the object itself: the choice of materials, the possibility of replacing the textile part, the design details and the way each element is designed to last.
